Andrews, Isaac Jr., age 34, of Dallas, TX., went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 20, 1993. He was born February 17, 1959 to Isaac & Mafalda Andrews in Columbus, OH.. Isaac was employed with Blue Cross-Blue Shield of Texas. He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted mother, Mafalda Andrews of Dayton; father, Isaac Andrews, Sr. of Columbus; 2 sisters, Regina (Fred) Williams of Dayton, and Trina Williams of Columbus; 1 half-brother, Chad Andrews of Columbus; 1 nephew, Rodney Owens; 2 nieces, Ryan Owens and Michelle Hart; maternal grandmother, Eugenia George of Dayton; paternal grandmother, Mattie Andrews of Columbus; 4 uncles, Ned Andrews & Woodrow George of Columbus, Melvin George of Concord, CA. and Terry George of Atlanta, Ga.; 5 aunts, Emma Thomas of Atlanta, Ga., Virginia Gordon & Yvonne Davison of Long Beach, CA., and Marie Langston & Cinderella George of Dayton; and many other relatives and friends, including some special friends from Dallas, Tx., Sharon Bonner, Michael Williams and Henry Johnson. Funeral services 1:00 P.M. on Monday, December 27, 1993 at the Smith Funeral Home, 370 S. Broadway St., Dayton. Reverend John Jackson officiating. Burial West Memory Gardens (Garden of Freedom).

Christopher “Chris” A. Beach
BEACH, Christopher A. ‘Chris’ Age 46 of Dayton, died unexpectedly on Saturday, June 4, 2005. For the last 24 years Chris worked at Adena Tool as Quality Assurance Manager. He was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. He was an avid fisherman and a Gourmet Cook and he had a zest for life. Preceded in death by his father Paul and a sister Genevieve as well as a brother-in-law Peter Marth. Survived by his mother Evelyn Steiner and her husband Merle, fiance’ Vicki Reed, 1 daughter Candace Beach, son Ryan Beach and their mother Linda, 1 grandson Elijah Loy, 7 sisters Barbara Beach, Carolyn Marth, Patricia Jackson, Marcia Adenuga, Sandra Beach, Mary Anne Beach & Nancy Lemaster, Jane & Glenn Thomas, 3 brothers Dennis Beach, Alan & Paula Beach, Joseph and Donna Beach, step brothers and sisters, Connie (Robert) Morgan, Fred (Diane) Steiner, Anita (Jerry) Kinderman, Douglas (Mary) Steiner, 26 nieces and nephews and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 545 Odlin at Siebenthaler by Father Del Staigers. Interment Calvary Cemetery.

COLLINS, Joseph Lynn “Joe” Age 59 of Dayton, Ohio passed away at his residence on Friday, October 11, 2019. Joe was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio and was a graduate of John H. Patterson Co-Op High School. He enjoyed playing drums as a member of a popular local band named Sparkle, music, working on cars, and remodeling homes. Joe had a true admiration for his four daughters, wishing that they would always stick together and look out for one another. He dearly loved all his brothers, sisters, and family. Joe was a mail carrier for the United States Post Office and drove semi-trucks for many years. Joe was preceded in death by his birth mother, Ellen Collins, his father Roosevelt Kimble, and his sister Joycelyn “Bird” Collins. He leaves to cherish his four daughters, Diana “Nikki” Collins, Patricia “Trish” Tyndale, Danielle “Danie” Collins, and Brittany Kendrick, his son, Demarcus Dansby, his grandchildren, Lamont Hancock Jr., Maurice Bannister II, Quanterius Bailey Jr., Donovan Bailey, Kendall Bailey, Olivia Tyndale, and Chavis Kendrick Jr., his brothers and sisters, Forest White, April Goodson, Dawson Martin, and Robert Martin, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends. Joe, we know you are watching down on us from heaven. Play a beat for us on your new set of drums! The family will receive family, friends, and guests on Friday, October 18, 2019, for visitation at 10:00 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. held at Donald H. Jordan Memorial Chapel, 4882 Germantown Pike, Dayton, Ohio 45417.

Phillip Eric Downey was born August 23, 1959 in Dayton, Ohio. He attended Dayton Public Schools; graduating from Patterson Coop High School.
After graduatiing from high school, Phil signed up for the U.S. Marines. He was stationed at Paris Island, South Carolina where he later became Drill Sergent.
Phil married Nina Moore on Paris Island, where they were surrounded by many family members and a host of friends. Phil soon left the Marines and became a police officer for the Prince George County Police Department. A few years into being “one of Prince George County’s finest”, he was struck with bad news. The doctors found a tumor on Phil’s brain, which after agonizing over the possibilities of what could happen, Phil decided to go ahead with the surgery to have the malignant tumor removed. After pulling thru the surgery the news was that he would have to learn to do things all over again (which we take for granted daily). He had to learn to feed himself, walk, write and learn to speak again.
With never-ending determination, Phil took one step at a time, and with the help of his wife, family, other friends and the “rest of PG County’s Finest”, he made it.
After his recovery he got a job as Building Inspector with Prince George’s County, where he worked up until his death. Phil also remained in the military (which he loved) by being apart of the Air Force Reserve. At his death he was in the process of finalizing his affairs and heading to San Antonio for a training program.
Phil was a guy you could be comfortable talking to, and just being around him was quite an experience (non-stop laughter). If you knew how Phil loved to make people laugh then you knew Phil quite well. Phil had so many wonderful qualities and a heart as big as outdoors. But, nothing would compare to how he would talk about his boys, Chris and Eric. He was so proud of them and loved them so much. It’s not easy bringing up young men in todays world, but Phil knew when to put his foot down and I’m sure we call can say, he did a great job.
Phil will be deeply missed by many but none more so than his siblings that he has left behind. He will always be remembered and will continue to put smiles on all our faces.

Andrew W. Kreitzer
Andrew W. Kreitzer, age 55 of Greenville, passed away suddenly on September 3, 2014 after a brief illness. He was born July 31, 1959 in Dayton to the late Andrew E. and Jacqueline R. Kreitzer.
Andy is survived by his wife, Candace “Candy” Kreitzer, with whom he spent the last 16 years; children: Lisette Michele Kreitzer, William Michael Kreitzer, Lee Edward Helton (Shannon), Nathan Ira Helton (Chenise) and Holly Marie Peterman; 10 grandchildren; brothers: Karl Kreitzer (Fran), Maurice Kreitzer and Milton Kreitzer (Mary); sisters: Jacqueline Subler, Kathy Lisska (Andy) and Dorothy Hamlin (Chris); numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Andy was a 1977 graduate of Patterson Co-op. He worked as a Tool Maker for over 35 years. Andy also worked as a Direct Care Provider for individuals with MRDD. His clients became like family to him and he enabled them to enjoy life more fully. This was a vocation that was dear to his heart, brought a lot of joy to his life and was inspired by his daughter, Lisette. Andy touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed.
