Mark Raymond Maruca, Sr.
MARUCA, Sr. Mark Raymond age 55 of Union, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 7, 2013. He was an owner and president of Allied Services in Clayton. Mark will forever be known for his caring and willingness to help anybody in need. He was a member of the West Milton and Celina Eagles. Mark loved the outdoors, especially boating and fishing up at St. Mary’s Lake. He also enjoyed hunting and was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan, Bengals fan, and an excellent lover. He is survived by his wife of 20 years: Terri (Fudge) Maruca, sons and daughters-in-law: Mark (Rose) Maruca II of Centerville, Nicholas (Ashley) Allegretto of FL, grandchildren: McKinsey, Mark III, Robert, Ethan, Max, brother: Anthony (Linda) Maruca of Springfield, sister: Sarah (John) Stoddard of Dayton, father-in-law: David Fudge of Fairborn, mother-in-law: Gail Fudge of Union, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Anthony and Sarah “Sally Lou” (Schommer) Maruca. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood).

DeVonner Jean Ingram Music Scholarship
The DeVonner Jean Ingram Music Scholarship is awarded annually by the Department of Music to a UWG [University of West Georgia] minority student majoring in music who demonstrates academic success and financial need . This scholarship was established in September 2000 in memory of Mrs. Ingram by her brother, Frederick E. O’Neal. Mrs. Ingram was very active in her church choir and this fund serves to honor her love for music.

SAUNDERS, Mr. Mark Howard age 54, passed away Monday, September 30, 2013 at Hospice of Dayton. He was a faithful member of United Missionary Baptist Church. Preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Lue Emma Saunders; sister, Frances Cohens and brother, James Saunders. Survivors include (2) children, Antwaun Saunders and Christina Saunders; (4) sisters, Janice Saunders, Emma Culpepper, Dreama Hunt and Ceclia Marino; (2) brothers, Kenneth and Allen (Hattie) Saunders; (2) special granddaughters, Marissa and Payton Robinson; (1) uncle, Claude Lee and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral Service 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 5, 2013 at United Missionary Baptist Church, 900 Lexington Ave., Dayton, Ohio, with Rev. Leroy Cothran, officiating. Interment: Jeffersonview Cemetery.

FOMAN, PEGGY LYNN, 53, of Dayton, OH, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2013 in her home with daughter and husband by her side in Ormond Beach, FL.
She is finally at peace after her battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her mother and father. She is survived by daughter, Jenny Allen; husband, Bill Foman; grandchildren, Kaleigh and Gavin Allen; and stepsons, Adam and Brent Foman.

Alicia Gail “Lisa” Tigner
TIGNER, Alicia Gail “Lisa” age 55, of Dayton, peacefully transitioned to the Lord on Tuesday, August 19, 2014. Lisa was the daughter of the late Herman & Bertha (Lawson) Tigner. She was a graduate of Stivers-Patterson High School, Class of 1977 and continued her education at Sinclair Community College. Lisa was a faithful employee of Dayton Public Schools and a member of Vineyard Church of the Harvest. Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and four sisters, Audrey Tigner, Leslie Tigner, Patricia Newell and Kimberly Taylor. She leaves to cherish her memory, a loving daughter, Audrey Meghan Nevins; one brother, David (Barbara) Tigner; devoted nephew, Eric Wiggins; devoted cousins, Kevin & Lester Carlton; close friends, Lance Taylor, Andrea Simmons, Gloria Lane, Stephanie Smith, Shevel Hinton & Cathy Adams; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held 1 pm Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at the House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 North Gettysburg Avenue. Rev. Dr. Robert Brown officiating. Interment West Memory Gardens.
